Fire Safety

Fire Safety Training Course teaches you about the fire risks in work premises and what safety measures should be in place to control them. It explains everyone’s legal responsibilities, the common causes of fires, how to prevent them, what fire safety arrangements are necessary, and the importance of following emergency procedures.

If you are in charge of fire risk assessments and overseeing evacuation procedures, such as the employer of a workplace or a senior member of staff with fire safety responsibilities, this course can be a starting point for your knowledge, including for carrying out risk assessments. However, you will also need to receive a higher level of training than this course provides, such as our Fire Warden Training course, that goes into more detail. Fire wardens also need to receive practical training in using firefighting equipment.

Personal Safety & Situational Awareness Training

situational-awareness.jpg

Situational awareness is being aware of what is happening around you and recognising whether there could be a threat to your safety or security.  Well-honed situational awareness skills help you to recognise the early signs of a threat and enable you to react and respond quickly to potential danger.

At times, when we have lots of things going on around us, we may fail to notice signs that a situation is changing and becoming more volatile. Sometimes these signs may be very hard to pick up on and, even if we don’t spot something, it doesn’t mean it’s not happening.

When we are in noisy and busy environments, such as reception areas or public transport, we can become absorbed in our own thoughts and fail to see and hear signs of a threat.
